HOBART CITY
Hobart’s iconic waterfront … from a different perspective
Nestled between river and mountain, Hobart has one of the most picturesque harbours in the world. On our 2.5-hour city paddle and we take you behind the scenes of our vibrant, working waterfront to discover the true heart of Hobart. Glide past prestigious homes, marvel at tall wooden sailing ships and keep an eye out for Sammy the resident seal. Your discovery of Hobart wouldn’t be complete without some locally caught fish and chips from the city’s famed floating fish punts. Enjoy them with the best view in town – straight from your kayak!
Tour Duration: 2.5 hours (Approximate 2 hour of kayaking)
Ages: Suitable for children 7 and over. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Kayaking experience: No experience is necessary.
TASMAN PENINSULA
Kayak close to the southern hemisphere’s highest sea cliffs and resident Australian fur seals
At sea level you’ll truly appreciate the scale of Australia’s highest sea cliffs, gazing up at 200-metre-high fluted rock formations, peering into natural sea caves, photographing the towering Candlestick, and searching for climbers on the Totem Pole – a sheer column famed amongst thrill-seeking rock climbers. Enjoy our gourmet Tasmanian lunch at a deserted bay, paddle over a semi-submerged shipwreck and marvel at the abundant marine wildlife that lives along the coast of the Tasman National Park.
Tour Duration: Approximately 10 hours (4-5 hours of kayaking)
Ages: Not recommended for children under 16
Kayaking experience: While kayaking experience is not necessary, you do need to have a basic level of fitness to enjoy
HOBART’S CLIFFS, CAVES AND BEACHES
Enjoy a relaxed day paddle exploring Hobart’s diverse river and coast.
Discover why picturesque Storm Bay – at the mouth of Hobart’s Derwent River – is a favourite playground of locals. Experience an astounding variety of scenery just 20km from the city. Paddle amongst tranquil bays, glide beneath the lichen-covered cliffs, explore sea caves, enjoy views of Bruny Island and keep a look out for the abundant wildlife that calls this Tinderbox Marine Reserve home. For lunch, enjoy Tasmania’s famous produce whilst relaxing on one of our many beautiful beaches.
Tour Duration: Approximately 7 hours (4-5 hours of kayaking)
Ages: Suitable for children over 10. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Kayaking experience: Suitable for beginners, but you do need a basic level of fitness.
